Martine McCutcheon, born Martine Kimberley Sherrie Ponting, is an English singer, actress, and television personality. She was born on May 14, 1976, in London, England. She made her first appearance on the big screen, appearing in a television commercial at the age of twelve. Her first role in a television series was on Bluebirds in 1989. Martine McCutcheon is best known for her role in the BBC’s EastEnders for which she won the 1997 National Television Award and her role in the 2003 film Love Actually for which she was awarded the 2004 Empire Award and the 2004 MTV Movie Award. In 1998 she started her career as a signer and in 1999 she released her debut album called You Me & Us. Her album peaked at number two in the UK and went platinum. In 2002 Martine McCutcheon was awarded the 2002 Laurence Olivier Theater Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her role of Eliza Doolittle in the musical My Fair Lady.
