Márton Fucsovics Bio

Márton Fucsovics is a professional tennis player born in Nyíregyháza, Hungary, on February 8, 1992. He trained at the First Line Tennis Academy. He won his first national champion in 2003 and competed at the U14 World Championship. Márton turned pro in 2009 and is coached by Zoltán Nagy and Miklós Jancsó.


The former World number one Junior Player achieved his highest ranking, number 31, on March 4, 2019, becoming the highest-ranked Hungarian since Balázs Taróczy. Márton defeated Stan Wawrinka to win his first ATP Tour title at the Geneva Open in 2018. He reached the Sofia 2019 and Rotterdam 2021 ATP Tour finals.


Márton has reached at least the third round in all four Grand Slams. He defeated Daniil Medvedev to reach the fourth round of the 2020 Roland Garros. In 2021, he reached the quarter final at Wimbledon. His Grand Slam doubles record includes the Australian Open 1R (2018, 2019), the US Open 1R (2018, 2021, 2022), the French Open 2R (2020, 2022), and the Wimbledon 2R (2021).
