Mason Rupper, popularly known by his stage name, MASN, is an Indie-pop singer, songwriter, guitarist, and artist from Eagle Mountain, Utah. Born on October 1, 2001, his source of muse transpires from his love for nature and its appreciation. Sadly he had a collarbone injury as a sophomore at Westlake High School in Eagle Mountain, which unhinged his flair for football.
He opted to finish his high school online without much choice, consequently writing and producing musical tracks. He wrote numerous tracks at this point and posting them online. He uploaded several tracks including, “D!or Life” to Soundclound around 2018, which incited minimal buzz, then “Princeville Drive,” “Athens.” In 2019, he posted “Psycho,” which generated more buzz than the last ones. “I came across the beat for ‘Psycho,’ and I instantly mumbled the melody for it into my head,” Rupper said. “I wrote the song in, like, five or 10 minutes.”
MASN’s extended plays of the track “Psycho” have two versions: the main track and the remix by Trippie Redd. RCA Records ultimately signed him. He was influenced by Eminem, XXXTentacion, Lil Peep, Run D.M.C, Trippie Redd and others.
