Musician Matisyahu, was born Matthew Paul Miller on June 30th 1979 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He began his career rapping as MC Truth, and signed with Jewish music company JDub Records. Matisyahu mixes reggae, rock and hip hop beatboxing on his single King Without a Crown, which became one of the biggest hits of his career. Over the course of his career he released five albums, beginning with his debut album, Shake Off the Dust… Arise. Matisyahu stunned audiences with his beatboxing and lyrical talents when he was invited on stage by Trey Anastasio at the Bonnaroo Music Festival. His second album Youth debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart, but it was his third album, Light, that blew up the charts, holding the #1 spot on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart for a whopping 34 weeks. Matisyahu collaborated with various talented artists over the years, including J Ralph, Akon, Shyne, Stu Brooks, and the Polish Ambassador.
