Matt Andersen is a Canadian blues guitarist and singer-songwriter, from Perth-Andover, New Brunswick. He is known for his powerful voice, soulful guitar playing, and hard-working attitude. He has released over a dozen albums, both solo and with his band The Mellotones. He has also won several awards, including a Juno Award nomination for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year in 2015, a European Blues Award for Best Solo/Acoustic Performer, and several Maple Blues Awards. Matt has shared the stage with artists, such as Bo Diddley, Buddy Guy, Gregg Allman, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Randy Bachman. He started his musical career in 2002 with the New Brunswick band Flat Top and later pursued a solo career. In 2023, Matt released his 10th studio album titled The Big Bottle of Joy.
