Matt Dillon is an American actor and film director born in New Rochelle, New York on February 18, 1964. He is best known for his roles in the films Wild Things, There’s Something About Mary, In & Out, Beautiful Girls, To Die For, Singles, Drugstore Cowboy, and The Saint of Fort Washington. He made his debut in film in 1979 in the movie Over the Edge and continued landing roles in the films Little Darlings, Tex, Target, Rebel, Kansas, A Kiss Before Dying, Fishing With John, Singles, Grace of My Heart, Wild Things, City of Ghosts, Crash, There’s Something About Mary, Loverboy, Herbie: Fully Loaded, Nothing But The Truth and more. In 2002 he wrote and made his directorial debut with the film City of Ghosts. Throughout his career he has been nominated for numerous awards and has won a Satellite Award, a SAG Award, a Gotham Tribute Award, a Teen Choice Award and others.
