Matt Dusk is a Canadian Jazz Vocalist born on 19th November 1978 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He is known for his outstanding music career, having seen four albums certified gold and two certified platinum. Since childhood, he wanted to become a musical artist. He joined St Michael’s Choir School at the age of 7. He went on to perform opera and classical music but later changed his musical direction after drawing inspiration from the likes of Sarah Vaughan and Tony Bennett.
In 1998, he joined York University to study economics but dropped out after one year to focus on music. He trained with John Gittins, and Bob Fentor and attended Oscar Peterson’s master classes. Dusk released his debut album, titled “Two Shots” in June 2004. The album was certified gold in Canada. In June 2006, he traveled to Los Angeles and recorded his sophomore album “Back in Town”. He went on to release the albums “Good News” in 2009, “Live from Las Vegas” in 2011, “My Funny Valentine: The Chet Baker Songbook” in 2013, and “Just the Two of Us” in 2015.
