Matt James (Pearl Liaison) Bio
Matthew James Lent, also known by his stage name Pearl Liaison, or Pearl for short is an American drag performer and record producer. Lent was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on September 11, 1990. He moved to Chicago in 2012 to pursue performing in drag as a hobby, but quickly became a popular performer, performing alongside fellow drag star Kim Chi. Pearl booked more jobs than expected and was able to turn the hobby into a career. In 2014 Pearl became a contestant on the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race and was the runner-up in the competition. In 2015 Matthew released his debut album Pleasure with the label Sidecar Records, which charted as number eleven on the US Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart. In 2015 Lent released a unisex fragrance, Flazeda with the company Xyrena.
