Matt Sorum Bio
Matthew William Sorum, better known as Matt Sorum, is an American drummer and percussionist best known as a drummer for the rock bands Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver. He was born in Venice Beach, California, United States, on November 19, 1960. Matt began his music career in the mid-1980s when he would play for various small bands in California, but he became famous in 1989 when he joined the band Guns N’ Roses which at the time also featured Axl Rose, Slash, Gilby Clarke, Duff McKagan, and Dizzy Reed. His discography with the group includes the studio projects Use Your Illusion I, Use Your Illusion II, and The Spaghetti Incident. Matt Sorum was also a member of the rock band Velvet Revolver.
