Matt Terry was born on May 20th, 1993 in London, England. Matt began his rise in the music industry when he auditioned for the 13th season of The X Factor. During the audition stage he sang a cover of Ben E. Kings’s song “Stand by Me.” He was then advanced to the live stages and mentored by Nicole Scherzinger. He went on to win the competition in December of 2016. He went on to release a single after being crowned called “When Christmas Comes Around.” The song was written in conjunction with Ed Sheeran. Matt then signed to the label RCA Records. In 2017 he released the single “Sucker for You.” The song peaked at number 83 on the UK Singles Chart.
