Matthew Rhys Bio
Matthew Rhys Evans, known as Matthew Rhys, is an award-winning Welsh actor, producer, and director best known for his work in film and television. He was born in Cardiff, Wales, on November 8, 1974.
Matthew began his acting career in 2007 when she was cast in the film House of America. He has since had recurring roles in the TV series Perry Mason, The Owl House, Tuca & Bertie, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, The Bastard Executioner, Brothers & Sisters, Metropolis, and Backup, but he is best known for starring in the crime-drama series The Americans alongside Keri Russell, Keidrich Sellati, Holly Taylor, and Noah Emmerich. Matthew’s filmography includes The Post, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Burnt, Titus, and Very Annie Mary.
He has won multiple awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, a Broadcast Film Critics Association Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series, and a Gold Derby Award for Best Drama Actor.
