Matthew Allard de Vere Drummond, better known as Matthew Vaughn, is an English film director, producer, and screenwriter, born on March 7, 1971, in Paddington, London. He is known for producing such films as Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in 1998 and Snatch in 2000, and for directing Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and The King's Man.
In 1995, he produced his first film, the thriller The Innocent Sleep, directed by Scott Michell. He made his directorial debut with Layer Cake in 2004. The London native has worked with actors, such as Jason Statham, Brad Pitt, Alan Ford, Vinnie Jones, Jason Flemyng, and many more. He married supermodel Claudia Schiffer in 2002.
