Maxine Peake is a British actress who was born on July 14, 1974. Since she was young she wanted to become an actress, taking her first steps in the Bolton Octagon Theatre's youth club and completing her acting education at the University of Salford and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Her first appearance in Television was in 1996 on one of the episodes from "Hetty Waithropp Investigates". After her debut, she continued to participate in Tv shows and films making small appearances. In 1998 she obtained one of the main roles of the sitcom "Dinnerladies" in which she became more known. Later, she also did some important roles in films such as "The Theory of Everything" from 2014 and "Funny Cow" from 2017. In this last one, she performed the main role and accomplished the nomination of Best Actress in the British Independent Film Awards.
