Maya Moore, also known as April Maya Moore, is an American basketball player born in 1989 in Jefferson City, Missouri. She started standing out as a basketball player in highschool, where she won various state championships and a national championship for her team. While attending the University of Connecticut she played with the Huskies team and broke previous individual performance records for the team. In 2011 she started playing at the WNBA level for the Minnesota Lynx, winning four championships between 2011 and 2017. Some time later the athlete also took part in European teams. Other achievements include four Olympic gold medals and two World Championship medals.
