¡MayDay! Bio
¡Mayday! is a Miami-based hip hop collective that has been active since the early 2000s. They released the song “Quicksand” in 2003, which became a hit in the Miami underground scene. The track earned them a record deal with SouthBeat Records, under which they released their debut self-titled album in 2006. The album was promoted by the Cee-Lo Green-featuring single “Groundhog Day,” the music video for which was one of the first viral music videos on YouTube, racking up over two million views in the first day alone. They gained the attention of Strange Music founder Tech N9ne in 2011, and signed with his label, releasing their third album, Take Me To Your Leader, on Strange Music in 2012. Their most recent album, Future Vintage, was released in 2015.
