Meat Puppets is an influential American rock band renowned for their eclectic sound and innovative musical style.
Formed in 1980 in Phoenix, Arizona, the band originally comprised brothers Curt and Cris Kirkwood, alongside drummer Derrick Bostrom. Emerging from the punk rock scene, Meat Puppets quickly distinguished themselves with their unique fusion of punk, country, psychedelic rock, and folk influences. Their breakthrough came in 1984 with their second album, "Meat Puppets II", which showcased their distinctive blend of genres and garnered critical acclaim.
