Demetri Simms, known as Meechy Darko, is a rapper born on December 26, 1989, in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He formed Flatbush Zombies with Zombie Juice and Erick Arc Elliott in 2010. The group gained prominence after releasing a music video for their song Thug Waffle. They were part of the Beast Coast movement.
The group released its debut mixtape, D.R.U.G.S. (Death and Reincarnation Under God's Supervision), in July 2012, and its second mixtape, BetterOffDEAD, followed in September 2013. Their debut album, 3001: A Laced Odyssey, released on March 11, 2016, debuted at number ten on the Billboard Album Sales Charts.
Meechy released his debut solo album, Gothic Luxury, on Loma Vista Recordings in August 2022. The album included songs featuring Denzel Curry, Busta Rhymes, and Freddie Gibbs.
