Mel Reid Bio
Mel Reid, also known as Melissa Rose Reid, is a professional golfer who was born on September 19, 1987, in Derby, England. Reid currently plays on the Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tour based in the United States. She had a successful amateur career and won several amateur competitions, including the 2007 Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship, the 2006 and 2007 Helen Holm Trophy, the 2004 and 2005 English Girls' Championship, and the 2006 and 2007 St. Rule Trophy. Reid finished in T16 and was the lowest amateur at the 2007 Women's British Open. Also a member of several teams, Reid represented Europe at the Junior Solheim Cup in 2005, the GB&I team at the Curtis Cup in 2006, and England at the Espirito Santo Trophy in 2006. Reid competed for Great Britain & Ireland in the 2007 Vagliano Trophy.
