Melanie Griffith is an award-winning American actress and producer best known for her work in film and television. She was born in New York City, New York, United States, on August 9, 1957. Melanie began her acting career in the early 1970s with appearances in the films The Harrad Experiment, Night Moves, and The Drowning Pool. She has since been a regular on the TV series Hawaii Five-0, Twins, Once an Eagle, and Raising Hope. Her filmography includes the blockbusters Stuart Little 2, Nobody's Fool, Pacific Heights, Now and Then, The Disaster Artist, and Shining Through, but she is best known for starring in the comedy-drama film Working Girl alongside Harrison Ford, Alec Baldwin, Sigourney Weaver, and Joan Cusack.
