Melechesh Bio
Melechesh is a band from Jerusalem. The band was formed in 1993 and its only remaining member is lead vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist/pianist Ashmedi. The band was founded in 1993 as a solo project. The first project “As Jerusalem Burns…” was released in 1995. The following year, they released their first studio album “A Jerusalem Burns…Al’Instisar”. In 1998, the band members moved to France and the Netherlands.
Some members would later leave the band, while others joined. Their second studio album “Djinn” was released in 2001, followed by the third album “Sphynx” in 2003. The following year, they issued their third EP “The Ziggurat Scrolls”. Their fourth studio album “Emissaries” was released in October 2006 under the Osmose Productions label. The album contained 11 tracks. In 2010, they dropped their fifth EP “The Epigenesis”, followed by the sixth EP “Enki” in 2015.
