Melissa De Sousa Bio

Melissa De Sousa is an actress born on 22nd September 1967 in New York, United States. She is widely recognized for appearing in the Malcolm D. Lee-directed comedy-drama film “The Best Man” in 1999. She also starred in its sequel “The Best Man Holiday” in 2013. De Sousa started her career in 1992 with the television series “The Trials of Rosie O’Neill”, playing the role of Cricket. That same year, she appeared in an episode of “CBS Schoolbreak Special” as Melissa Skyler. In 1999, she starred alongside Damon Wayans, David Grier, and Andrea Martin in the sitcom “Damon”.

She made her film debut in 1996, playing the role of Nina in the film “Spark”. In 2001, she starred as Natalie in the comedy film “30 Years to Life” opposite Allen Payne, Tracy Morgan, and Paula Jai Parker. She also appeared in the Malcolm D. Lee-directed comedy-drama film “The Best Man Holiday” in 2013. The film featured renowned actors like Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, and Terrence Howard.
