Meredith Dawn Salenger (born March 14, 1970 in Malibu, California, United States) is an American actress most renowned for her role as Natty Gann in the 1985 film The Journey of Natty Gann, and her role as Lainie Diamond in the 1989 teen comedy Dream a Little Dream. She also portrayed Lisa Sanders in the series ‘Hollywood Heights’.
Salenger made her screen debut in an uncredited role as an orphan dancer in the comedy drama ‘Annie’ at 12 years old. She continued to act until she turned 18. At that time, she took a hiatus to attend Harvard. Salenger graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Psychology. Subsequently, she earned certificates in "Court-Based Mediation of Family Law Matters" and "Mediating the Litigated Case" from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. She enjoys working as a mediator for the Agency for Dispute Resolution in Beverly Hills, California almost as much as she enjoys her time on screen.
After she returned to acting, she began to gradually build an impressive filmography. She is associated with about 70 projects. In 1986, she won the Young Artist Award for Best Starring Performance by a Young Actress - Motion Picture for her performance in ‘The Journey of Natty Gann’.
