Mic Righteous, born Rocky Takalobigashi, is a UK rapper born of Iranian immigrant parents. His music combines the sounds of reggae, hip hip, R&B, synth, and rock with hard-hitting, honest lyrics focused on the multitude of issues facing the poorest of society. Mic has often been called the UK’s own homegrown Eminem. He has been featured on tracks by big name UK artists like Ed Sheeran and Emeli Sande.

Mic’s debut album, Open Mic, was done as an entirely indie project, and met with huge success. Within an hour of being uploaded to Itunes, the album reached number one on the charts. His most popular songs have reached over half a million views on YouTube, and include singles like “Ghost Town,” “Crack A Smile,” and “Wild Boyz.”
