Micah Makanamaikalani Christenson is a professional athlete and volleyball player born on May 8, 1993, in Honolulu, USA. He played volleyball and basketball at Kamehameha High School, leading his teams to three state championship titles (basketball in 2009 and 2011 and volleyball in 2011). He became the youngest setter to play for the US in a world championship in 2009.
Micah is an alumnus of the University of Southern California (USC). He was a three-time AVCA All-American (2012, 2014, 2015) and two-time winner of the Off The Block Lloy Ball Award (2014, 2015) at USC. He made his debut for the US Men's National Team in 2013 at the NORCECA Continental Championship, winning Gold, Best Setter, and Best Server.
Micah has played at Volley Lube, Modena Volley, and Zenit Kazan. He has won the Italian Super Cup and the Russian Cup. Micah was a silver medalist at the 2017 Club World Championship. He won the World League in 2014 and the World Cup in 2015. He was the best setter of the Final Eight of the 2022 League of Nations.
