Michael Carter-Williams (born October 10, 1991) is a professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association for the Orlando Magic (NBA).
As a freshman, Carter-Williams went to Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School in Hamilton, Massachusetts. As a freshman, he was 5'9" and led his team and conference in scoring, averaging 20 points per game and winning the league championship.
After playing college basketball for the Syracuse Orange, he was taken in the first round with the 11th overall choice in the 2013 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. He has also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, Houston Rockets, and Orlando Magic, and was voted NBA Rookie of the Year in 2014.
