Michael Peña Bio
Michael Pena is an American musician and actor, born in Illinois, he worked in independent films and television shows until his breakthrough in Million Dollar Baby and Crash, two Academy Award Winning Films. Most known for an extensive list of film credits he has worked on acclaimed films such as World Trade Center and The Lucky Ones.
Most recently the actor is best known for his performances as Paco in American hustle, for which he won three ensemble awards. Pena also portrayed Cesar Chavez in the biographical film of the same name, and the film was a critical success. Coming to mainstream popularity with his work in the Marvel film Ant-Man, his comedic sensibilities shone through and made him a hit with audiences, he then followed this up in Ridley Scott’s The Martian where he worked alongside Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain.
