Michael Lamar Porter Jr. is an American professional basketball player, playing for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born on June 29, 1998, in Columbia, Missouri, Michael Porter Jr. attended Father Tolton Regional Catholic High School in his hometown where he first started playing basketball for his high school team. In his senior year, he transferred to the Nathan Hale High School in Seattle, Washington but continued to play basketball. In 2016, he went off to study at the University of Washington where he played college football, but then transferred to the University of Missouri. Michael Porter Jr. was selected with the 14th overall pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2018 NBA draft.
