Michael Rosen is a well-known author of children's books as well as a poet. He was born in London, England, on May 7, 1946. In 1993, he graduated with a Master of Arts in Children's Literature from the University of Reading. Subsequently, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of North London. In 1974, he released Mind Your Own Business, the first collection of children's poetry that he had written. He wrote well over a hundred books in his lifetime. Wouldn't You Like to Know, which is a collection of children's poetry, and Michael Rosen's Sad Book are two of his most well-known works (an illustrated book for young children on the topics of death and grief). In addition, he became the Children's Laureate in 2007, succeeding Jacqueline Wilson in that role.
