Michelle Krusiec Bio

Michelle Krusiec, born as Ya-Huei Yang, is a Taiwanese American actress, writer and director who was born on October 2, 1974, in Taiwan. She started her acting career as the host of a Discovery Channel’s commercial for “Travelers” and, in 1992, she appeared on an episode of CBS’ TV series “Schoolbreak Special” titled “Sexual Considerations” and worked in countless episodes of television and films ever since. In 1995, she received her undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts and English from Virginia Tech, and while attending college, she landed a small role in Oliver Stone’s film “Nixon”. Krusiec gained popularity when she played a role in Alice Wu’s “Saving Face”, which earned her a nomination as Best Actress for the 2005 Golden Horse Award. She also played the role of movie legend Anna May Wong in Ryan Murphy’s miniseries “Hollywood” on Netflix. Krusiec appeared on TV series like “NCIS”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and “Titus”; and had roles in movies like “Pursuit of Happiness”, “Snow Wonder”, Shooter” and “The Disappearance of Mrs. Wu”.
