Micky and the Motorcars is an American alternative country music band based in Texas, United States. The founding members Micky and Gary Braun come from a rich country and western swing music background. The Braun brothers originally founded the band in Idaho together with their friends Travis Hardy (drummer) and Mark McCoy (bassist). The current lineup, however, consists of Micky Braun and Gary Braun as lead vocalists and guitarists, Pablo Trujillo as lead guitarist, Joe Fladger as bassist, and Bobby Paugh as drummer. Following their distinct alternative country-rock style, the band released their album “Which Way from Here” in 2002 gaining substantial attention. In 2002 and 2007, they released “Ain’t in It for the Money” and “Careless” respectively. However, “Naive” released in 2008 became the first album to charter on Billboard. In 2011, their album “Raise My Glass” debuted at 36 on Billboard’s country chart getting visible traction from the audience. The band continues to record and perform original music.
