Mike Skinner Bio
The British songwriter and rapper, Michael Geoffrey Skinner was born on 27 November 1978, in Barnet, London. He started to play the keyboards at the age of 5 years old and wrote hip-hop songs during his teenage years. In 2001 he released his first single “Has It Come to This?” under the name of The Streets and in collaboration with Locked On Records. In 2002, The Streets released its debut album “Original Pirate Material”, which became right after a huge success and was nominated as the British Album of the Year. He created along with Ted Mayhem the independent record label The Beats Recordings in 2015. This label supported artists like The Mitchel Brothers, Professor Green, and Example. In 2020 he came back with new material after some years of restings, with the mixtape “None of Us Are Getting Out of This Life Alive”.
