Bobby Kabeya, an artist who currently resides in Minneapolis, is the creative force behind the musical project known as Miloe. Bobby was exposed to music from an early age thanks to his musical parents. His mother taught him how to play the piano when he was just six years old. Bobby grew up in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Miloe was formally established as a band in 2017, and they began cultivating a local following by playing high-energy basement shows featuring a seamless blend of indie pop and rumba folk music. In 2017, he released an EP under his own name, which was followed by singles entitled Motorola and Everything (That Should Go). The follow-up Greenhouse EP, which released in October 2020, had a youthful and energising vibe to it, with lyrics that aren't afraid to lean into the melodrama and idealism of the teenage years.
