Jonathan Ivo Gilles Vandenbroeck (popularly known as Milow) is a Belgian singer-songwriter who was born on July 14, 1981 in Borgerhout, Belgium. Jonathan was the second of four children, born to a Dutch mother and Belgian father.
Jonathan was raised in Wespelaar, Haacht, where he learned the piano, accordion and guitar as a child. When he was 13 he was present at the Pink Floyd concert held in Werchter, the then home of the annual Rock Werchter music festival. Jonathan released his debut album The Bigger Picture in 2006, produced by Nigel Powell. You Don’t Know, one of the album’s singles reached #3 in Belgium charts. Jonathan received the TMF Award for Best New Artist in 2007.
His next album Coming of Age was released in 2008 and was produced by Francken. The album topped the album chart in Belgium! His 2009 self-titled album included 50 Cent’s Ayo Technology cover.
Jonathan released the LP North & South in 2011 in the wake of his father’s passing. One of the singles You and Me (In My Pocket) reach the Top Ten in Belgium, Germany and Switzerland.
