Mindless Self Indulgence Bio
Mindless Self Indulgence is an electropunk band formed in 1997 in New York City. Composed of Jimmy Urine (lead vocals), Steve, Righ?( guitars), Kitty (drums), and Lyn-Z, the band is popular for its "Bring the Pain" cover that was composed of six styles of the same cover into one song. The cover was adopted as the foundation of the "Mindless Self Indulgence” sound. The musical group has released four Extended Plays, six albums, eight remix albums, one live DVD, and one compilation album. The band licenses their albums to record labels and not as traditional record contracts. This has made them retain ownership of the songs.
Other notable releases include “Adventures Into Mindless Self Indulgence” (2010), the remastered CD/DVD version “Tighter” (2011), and “Pink” (2015). They were also part of the 2007 summer tour, “Revolution Stage of Projekt Revolution," in 2009, they had a lead role in the "Kerrang! Relentless Energy Drink” tour.
