Mira Sorvino is an actress born on 28th September 1967 in New York City, United States. She gained fame and popularity after winning the Academy Award and Golden Globe in the category of Best Supporting Actress for her role in the comedy film “Mighty Aphrodite,” which premiered in 1995. Her first major screen appearance came in the teen drama series “Swans Crossing,” where she starred in all six episodes. In 1996, she appeared in the biographical film "Norma Jean & Marilyn,” for which she received a nomination for a Golden Globe.
