Mireille Mathieu is a French singer, born on July 22, 1946, in Avignon, France. Her father once dreamed of a career as a musician and singer, but his father disapproved, which is why he was more than happy to allow Mireille Mathieu to sing along with him as a part of the church choir. Later, her father’s voice can be heard on her Christmas album released in 1968. At the age of four, she performed the first time in front of an audience and has never stopped since. She has recorded over 120 songs in eleven different languages and has released more than 150 albums worldwide. Mireille Mathieu has published her own autobiography named “Mon Credo”. For her performance at the Paris Olympia in 1965, she was hailed to be the next Edith Piaf, a personal role model for Mireille Mathieu.
