Miriam A. Hyman is an American actress and lyricist, best known for her role as Dr. Emile Cooper through three seasons of CBS’ TV series “Blue Bloods”. She was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Philadelphia. Hyman graduated from the Yale School of Drama and launched her professional career off-Broadway with the play “Richard III”, working alongside Ron Cephas Jones in New York; and played roles on WNYC’s “Richard II” and Blake Nelson’s “Socrates”, amongst other plays. Hyman appeared on TV series such as “Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Rookie”, “NCIS”, “Blindspot”; and on films, such as Netflix’s “The Laundromat”, where she played a supporting role, and “The Sun is Also a Star”. In the music field, she wrote songs for different artists, such as Ciara’s “Melanin” and Clipping’s “All in Your Head”.
