Comprising of 5 band members, moe. is an American band that has revolutionized the combination of jazz, classic rock, country, and funk. Band members consist of Rob Derhak, Chuck Garvey, Jim Loughlin, Al Schnier, and Vinnie Amico. In 1990, Al, Derhak, and Chuck studied together at the University of Buffalo and quickly became friends, playing music for fun. They recorded a few covers on cassette in 1992 and introduced the other two members into the band. Moe. quickly gained popularity when they started playing live and recording some of their own unique tracks. Popular LPs include Wormwood, What Happened to the LA LAs, and Tin Cans and Car Tires. Their LP The Conch reached a number 1 spot on the Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. In 2020, they released their 12th studio album named This is Not, We are.
