Mojo Juju is the stage name of the Australian musician Mojo Ruiz de Luzuriaga. She was born in 1983, in Melbourne, Australia. Mojo Juju started her career by joining a band called Mojo Juju & The Snake Oil Merchants as their lead singer. Before their disbandment in 2010, the band released two albums. Mojo Juju started her solo career in 2012 by releasing her first album with the well-known singles Horse Named Regret and Must Be Desire. Her most popular album, however, is her third album called Native Tongue. Mojo Juju was named the Female Artist of the Year at the National Dreamtime Awards in 2018. In 2019, Native Tongue won the Best Independent Single at the Australian Independent Record Labels Association Independent Music Awards. Over the years, she has collaborated with Clairy Browne & The Bangin’ Rackettes, Hiatus Kaiyote, Harry Angus and many others.
