Monica Heldal is a Norwegian singer and songwriter, born on January 24, 1991, in Bergen, Norway. She is known for her unique style, which is a mix of americana, indie pop and folk. Monica became widely known after she released her debut album, Boy from The North, in 2013. For the album, she won two Norwegian Grammy Awards and The Bendiksen Award. Three years later, the Bergen native released her second album, The One in The Sun, which reached number three in the Norwegian album charts.
