MONO Bio

Mono is a Japan-based post-rock band that was formed in 1999 in Tokyo. All of the songs are instrumental and typically feature multiple layers of guitar melodies. Some songs also make extensive use of pianos and strings. Mono is renowned for its intense live performances. In September 2000, they released their debut EP, Hey, you. They have so far released six complete albums, including Walking Cloud, Deep Red Sky, and Under The Pipal Tree. You Are There, Hymn to the Immortal Wind, and For My Parents. Additionally, "The Hand that Holds the Truth" is their only song that involves just vocals. Along with those records, they also have a remix album, a split album with Pelican, an album with World's End Girlfriend, and another EP called Memorie dal Futuro.
