Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, Monsieur Periné is a Colombian music ensemble that performs cumbia, tango, bolero, and pop music. The group consists of Catalina Garcia on vocals, Nicolás Junca on guitar, Santiago Prieto on strings, Adinda Meertins on double bass, Jairo Alfonso on saxophone and clarinet, Miguel Guerra on drums, Darwin Baez on drums, and Abstin Caviedes on trombone and bugle. The group began performing together in 2007, and they released their debut album Hecho a Mano in 2012. Their discography includes the hit singles Nuestra Cancion, Bailar Contigo, Sabor a Mi, Mundo Pararlelo, and the album Encanto Tropical. Monsieur Periné won a Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist and received two Grammy nominations for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album. Their music was featured in the original motion picture soundtrack for Cuatro Lunas alongside fellow artists Diego Alfonso, Enrique Espiona, Valentina Gonzalez, and Melissa Magno.
