Moonchild Sanelly, also known as Sanelisiwe Twisha, is a South African musician and dancer who was born on November 20, 1987, in Gqeberha, South Africa. She is well-known for both her self-invented musical subgenre, "Future ghetto punk," and her distinctive blue hair. Hip-hop, afro-punk, kwaito, experimental electronic, and edgy pop are all influences in her music. Moonchild hails from the Xhosa tribe and incorporates the language into her music. The opportunity for Moonchild Sanelly to perform at the Sound Festival Primavera in Spain in 2018 marked a significant turning point in her career. Upon her return, she received an offer to perform as Die Antwood's opening act on a European tour. Additionally, she has two official albums: Gqom Wave and Rabulapha, which was released in 2015.
