Mozhan Marnò, a well-known face in the world of television, was born on May 3, 1980, in Los Angeles, California. She attended Columbia University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature with a focus on French and German. She then attended the Yale School of Drama to earn her Master of Fine Arts degree in acting. She is best known for her role as reporter Ayla Sayyad in the Netflix series House of Cards. In addition, she is a director and has written a screenplay for a full-length feature film titled, "When the Lights Went Out." Moreover, she adapted the film into a play, which was then performed at the New York Stage and Film in 2013.
