Mr. Scruff, whose birth name is Andrew Carthy, is a British DJ and music producer who was born on February 10, 1972, in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England. He has been a DJ since 1992. His first release was in March 1995, but his first studio album, titled ‘Mr. Scruff’, arrived on May 9, 1997. Its follow-up album, ‘Keep It Unreal’, was released in mid-1999. In 2002, he released his first mix and compilations album, titled ‘Heavyweight Rib Ticklers’, and later that year, his third studio album, ‘Trouser Jazz’. In January 2004, he released his second compilation album, titled ‘Keep It Solid Steel Volume 1’, and a year later, he released a reissue version of ‘Mr. Scruff’, titled ‘Mrs. Scruff’, which had five additional tracks. He released three more studio albums: 2008 ‘Ninja Tuna’, 2009 ‘Bonus Bait’, and 2014 ‘Friendly Bacteria’; and other three mix and compilations albums: 2006 ‘Big Chill Classics’, 2008 ‘Southport Weekender Volume 7’, and ‘Mr. Scruff Feat. Alice Russell’.
