Myles Kennedy is an American singer and songwriter born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 27, 1969. He is best known as the singer and guitarist in the rock band Alter Bridge and the lead vocalist in Slash’s backing band, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. He was initially in the rock band The Mayfield Four and released two albums with the band titled Fallout and Second Skin. In 2002 he was offered a spot on in the band Velvet Revolver, but declined because he had gotten tinnitus, a disorder that affected his hearing. In 2004 he helped start the band Alter Bridge and released five albums with the band titled, One Day Remains, BlackBird, ABIII, Fortress, and The Last Hero. Kennedy has become well known for working with Slash, the lead guitarist of Guns N’ Roses and was even asked by Slash to co-write and sing the song “Starlight” on his first album and collaborate with him on his other albums including Apocalypse Love, World on Fire, and Living the Dream. Kennedy tired his hand at going solo in 2018 with his first solo album Year of the Tiger.
