American professional basketball player, Napheesa Collier was born on 23rd September 1996. She started her career in her freshman year at Jefferson City High School before transferring to Incarnate Word Academy. In 2013 and 2015, she was named Gatorade Missouri Player of the Year. She joined the Uconn team after graduation. Towards the end of her college basketball carer, she ranked 3rd in scoring, 7th in blocks and 4th in rebounds. During her senior season, she bagged the Katrina McClain Award from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for Power Forward of the Year. Her UConn career was an illustrious one, with the most rebounds and 2nd highest points in a season. Her partnership with Katie Lou Samuelson led to the highest score in UConn WBB history. In the 2019 WNBA draft, she was picked 6th overall by the Minnesota Lynx. In June 2021, she moved to the US Women’s Olympic Basketball team.
