Natalia “Supernova” Vodianova Bio
Natalia “Supernova” Vodianova is a Russian supermodel born in Novgorod, Russia (formerly USSR) in 1982. She came from an impoverished background and worked at a street market when she was recruited for high-fashion modeling at age 16. At age 17, she moved to Paris as part of the roster of Viva Models. Her portfolio includes advertising campaigns and catwalks for brands like Calvin Klein, L'Oréal, Marc Jacobs, Pepe Jeans, Louis Vuitton, and Chanel, among many others. She moved to London in 2001, and In 2005 she started the charity “Naked Heart Foundation,” focused on building recreational facilities and parks for children in Russia. After leaving the fashion runways for a few years, she returned to the scene in 2007. Vodianova has also ventured intro entrepreneurship, investing for tech and maternity-oriented startups.
