Nate Solder was born in Denver, Colorado on April 12, 1988. He was the first round, the 17th overall pick of the New England Patriots in the 2011 NFL Draft. He was part of the 2011 NFL All-Rookie Team.
Solder initially signed a four-year deal with the Patriots. He played 13 of the 16 games during his rookie year. The Patriots opted to extend Solder’s contract for two more years in 2015.
He signed another four-year contract with the New York Giants in 2018. With a contract price of $62 million with a guaranteed amount of $35 million, he became the highest paid offensive lineman in NFL.
Solder went to the University of Colorado and played for the Colorado Buffaloes. He was one of the three finalists for the 2010 Trophy.
