Better known by his stage name Naughty Boy, Shahid Khan was born on March 13, 1985, in Hertfordshire, England. As a young man, he became interested in music and eventually signed a contract with Sony ATV. In 2009, he launched a successful song-writing career after helping to pen the single “Diamond Rings” by Chipmunk. The single featured the singer Emeli Sandé, whom Naughty Boy would work with many more times during his career. He also had the opportunity to work with and produce records for Lily Allen, Jennifer Hudson, Cheryl Cole, and Tinie Tempah. In 2013, he released his debut album Hotel Cabana through Virgin EMI Records, preceded by the single “Wonder”. The album peaked at #2 in the UK as well as at #8 in Switzerland. He then went on to work with Britney Spears and Katy Perry to create some of their material.
